A course developed by the Junior League of Toledo designed to train volunteers (family and friends) to provide aid and rehabilitation for stroke patients so that they could return to normal life in their communities. Volunteers worked with stroke patients on a regular basis using a method of care based on the one created by Patricia Neal. The program was designed to supplement, not replace, professional care.
