Since its founding in 1933, the Junior League of Toledo (JLT) has been making a positive impact within our community by training women to be volunteers and leaders. JLT has implemented over 100 diverse projects in the community, including the Toledo Museum of Art Docent Program, Kids in the Kitchen, the Aurora House and Project READ—which became Read for Literacy. It is through these projects that our members learn how to volunteer, fundraise and help create change in our city.
JLT is also where women learn essential leadership skills. Our members have gone on to start their own nonprofits, lead nonprofit boards and take leadership positions at companies both locally and nationally. Through applying what they learn in the Junior League, members have gone on to play instrumental roles in starting and growing key nonprofit events in Toledo such as Taste the Nation, Restaurant Week Toledo and Barefoot at the Beach. Please consider supporting us as we strive to inspire and train the next generation of women leaders. The impact of training women to build better communities is immeasurable.
