1948–1970: Museum of Art Docent Program

The Toledo Museum of Art Docent Program was started by the Junior League of Toledo in 1948. The docents, who led students through the museum grounds, were trained for 200 hours. Kate Jamison was the first docent.

In 2008, the program celebrated their 60th anniversary.
