1 in 3 American families experience diaper need. Babies without clean diapers are exposed to more potential health risks and are less likely to be accepted to daycares, leaving parents unable to attend work. According to a study by the National Diaper Bank Network, Ohio has a total of 411,064 members of its population under the age of 3. Keeping these children clean, dry, and healthy is key to building a solid foundation.

Our Community Partners
As We Grow distributes diapers, wipes, and cream directly to community partners. These community partners are direct service agencies that are best equipped to provide the supplies to families that need it most.
The Getting to 1 diaper bank (a partnership between Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, Hospital Council of NW Ohio, and the Salvation Army) launched in 2015 to assess the greatest need for diapers in the Toledo-Lucas County area. The diaper bank exists to ensure that low-income families in [the Toledo area] and Lucas County have access to clean diapers for their children, while providing education and awareness around diaper need.
Whatever crisis families and individuals are experiencing, The Salvation Army stands ready to offer help and hope.
Throughout the year, people turn to The Salvation Army for assistance with misfortunes that can hit anyone at any time. The Social Services Department, in most cases, is the starting point for assessing the family’s and individual’s immediate needs and putting them on the path to meet their long-term goals.
Paramount Advantage, a subsidiary of ProMedica, is proud to be the only provider-sponsored Medicaid plan in Ohio. For more than 27 years, we have provided the individuals in our Medicaid plan with innovative, personalized services that meet the special needs of our members – including some of the most vulnerable residents in our state.
The mission of the Parent Empowerment Institute (PEI) is to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and abilities of parents and caregivers in order to sustain in families and prevent child abuse/neglect in our community.
